Foodies will love the two day Bury St Edmunds Food and Drink Festival held on August Bank Holiday weekend.  With an annual line-up of cooking demonstrations from top celebrity chefs, the chance to taste and purchase food and drink from over 100 stalls and a popular farmer’s market, this is a foodie’s heaven. 
Bank Holiday Monday will star Paul Rankin, who is best known as one of the longest standing and most successful chefs on ‘Ready Steady Cook’.  On Sunday Sean Wilson, who was in ‘Coronation Street’ for 21 years as Martin Platt before presenting Channel 5’s ‘Great Northern Cookbook’, will demonstrate his skills as a self-taught cook and multi-award winning cheesemaker with top chefs from some of Bury’s favourite restaurants taking the other spots on the menu.
Plus there will be a Family Entertainment Zone in the arc shopping centre (Charter Square). Featuring a Helter Skelter, Hook a Penquin, Roundabout, Circus Skills Workshop, Big Outdoor Games (including Connect 4, Ping Pong etc). Two PAW Patrol characters will be there at intervals across each day, with Chase and Rubble visiting on Sunday August 29 and Skye and Marshall on Bank Holiday Monday. 
Plus there is also FREE entry to the East Anglian Beer & Cider Festival at St Edmundsbury Cathedral on the days of the Food and Drink Festival!
